The House of St Barnabas

House Of St Barnabas, Soho

Redecoration Project

We recently completed works for The House of St Barnabas which included a redecoration project within this elegant Grade 1 Listed Georgian building on the corner of Soho Square and Greek Street in the heart of Soho.

The House of St Barnabas is one of Londons leading charities for homelessness so it was a privilege to undertake the work and a pleasure to donate the materials for the project.

Spending a little time in such an environment we came to value what a unique place this is. For those that don't know it's rich heritage or present offerings here is a brief overview.

The House of St Barnabas - A Community of Support

The House of St Barnabas in Soho is a not-for-profit private members club, a meeting place but also an environment rich with the cultural heritage of Soho including contemporary art, live music and events. To service its hospitality requirements is an Employment Academy offering work experience, job opportunities and mentoring for the homeless.

The House of St Barnabas traces its roots to 1862, when it was established in Soho as a charity dedicated to providing aid and comfort to the destitute and homeless. The founders recognised the urgent need for a safe haven where individuals could find nourishment, and a sense of community.

Over the decades, the House of St Barnabas evolved into a multifaceted organisation, expanding its services to encompass a comprehensive range of support programs.

The House of St Barnabas offers a comprehensive range of services designed to empower individuals to break the cycle of homelessness and rebuild their lives. Within this supportive network, individuals find companionship, encouragement, and a sense of belonging. These services include: Housing, Employment, Healthcare and Personal Development.

The organisation fosters a sense of camaraderie and shared purpose, organising regular social events, peer support groups, and skill-sharing workshops, providing opportunities for individuals to connect, learn from one another, and build lasting friendships.

The House of St Barnabas continues to evolve and adapt its services to meet the ever-changing needs of the Soho and local community, ensuring that it remains a sanctuary of hope, a place where individuals can find the strength and support they need to rebuild their lives and reclaim their place in society.
